The STRATI Journal of Mental Health and Society is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing scholarly and policy-relevant research on the intersections between mental health and social, economic, and cultural factors. Recognizing that mental health is shaped not only by biology but also by community structures, economic systems, environmental conditions, and policy frameworks, the journal seeks to bridge the gap between clinical understanding and societal realities.
The journal welcomes interdisciplinary submissions from psychology, psychiatry, sociology, anthropology, economics, public health, political science, law, education, and development studies. It particularly encourages research that examines how social determinants influence mental health outcomes, evaluates community and policy interventions, and highlights culturally responsive approaches to mental health promotion and care.
Typical submissions range between 6,000–8,000 words, with an abstract of no more than 200 words. All manuscripts undergo rigorous double-blind peer review and must include a plagiarism report upon submission.
The journal’s audience includes mental health practitioners, social scientists, policymakers, educators, NGOs, community leaders, and international agencies engaged in mental health advocacy, research, and service delivery.
