Journal Submission Guidelines

The STRATI Journal of Family and Community Research is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to advancing scholarly and policy-relevant knowledge about the dynamics of families, households, and communities in diverse social, economic, and cultural contexts. It serves as a platform for rigorous theoretical, empirical, and methodological contributions that deepen understanding of family life, community development, and the interconnections between the two.

The journal welcomes interdisciplinary work drawing from sociology, economics, anthropology, psychology, public health, social work, education, political science, and development studies. It places particular emphasis on research with direct implications for policy and practice, focusing on both micro-level household dynamics and macro-level community transformations.

The Journal aims to:

  • Analyze community resilience, cohesion, participation, and governance in the face of demographic, economic, and environmental shifts.
  • Provide a platform for comparative and cross-cultural research on families and communities, especially in low- and middle-income countries.
  • Strengthen evidence-based policymaking and program design in areas such as social protection, education, health, housing, livelihoods, and community governance.
  • Foster dialogue between academics, policymakers, NGOs, and community-based organizations.

Scope includes (but is not limited to):

  • Family structures, transitions, and intergenerational relations.
  • Community resilience, development, and empowerment.
