Journal Submission Guidelines

STRATI Journal of Environment and Development is an open access and peer-reviewed international journal and welcomes original papers from academicians, researchers and practitioners alike, and particularly encourages submissions that draw on policy-oriented theoretical and empirical research focusing the interactions between the economy and the environment, climate change, resource use and sustainability, economic effects of environmental policies, costs and benefits of alternative environmental policies, trade and environmental impacts, green and sustainable energy transition, zero-carbon emission, carbon neutral economy, pollutions, water management and quality, groundwater governance and management, gendered impact of environmental vulnerability and climate change, bioenergy economy, blue economy, sustainable economy, toxic substances, solid waste, circular economy, global warming, green finance, climate finance, sustainable finance, sustainable economy, and global warming.

The papers should generally be 6000-8000 words with abstract of not more than 200 words, though more substantial papers will be considered. The contributions may reflect an interdisciplinary emphasis, which is fundamental to the journal. The papers will be double-blind refereed using an appropriate cross-section of reviewers drawn from the target interests. The journal adheres to zero plagiarism policy and require submission of plagiarism report along with the paper. The journal aims for a turn-around time of two months from submission to publication to ensure rapid dissemination and dynamic discussion of ideas and results. The Editor, therefore, welcomes early contact prior to submission of manuscripts with, for example, an abstract. Book reviews are also included.

The journal will be of interest to academicians, researchers and practitioners working in interdisciplinary fields across the social, natural and engineering sciences; policy and decision makers in national and local government and relevant agencies, and non-governmental organisations. The Editorial Board provides a unique mix of expertise from both the academic community and a full range of interested parties.

STRATI Journal of Environment and Development is an interdisciplinary, peer reviewed, international journal covering policy and decision-making relating to environment and development interrelationships in the broadest sense. Uniquely, its specific aim is to strengthen environment and development research focusing on integration of social science input in planning, designing, and evaluation and enhancing the competence in environment policy analysis. STRATI Journal of Environment and Development focuses on development policy analysis, technology and sustainable development, institutions and reforms, etc. STRATI Journal of Environment and Development also welcomes the research papers in the areas of market failure and efficiency in resource allocation, externalities and choices, common property resources, property right regime, open-access resource and environmental degradation, risks of climate change, carbon abatement, environmental valuation, environmental regulations, tradable emissions permits, taxes and tariffs on pollution, dirty subsidies, and property rights and transaction costs. The journal aims to provide a forum for imaginative and creative thinking around the theoretical and empirical foundations of environment and development research.

The broad areas covered and their inter-relationships in informing decision-making and policy include interrelationship between development and policy options. The Journal invites paper on the synergistic linkages between environmental management and policy including ecological sciences, economics, geography and planning, development and cultural studies. The journal invites paper focusing on the interrelationships between environment, water resources and the climate system, the interactions of these processes with human development activities and the development of sustainable environmental policies and management. The journal invites original paper based on inter-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary fundamental and applied research originating from natural sciences and social sciences aiming to the advancement of environment, water and climate change policies and management practices at the local, regional and global scale.
