Journal Submission Guidelines

The STRATI Journal of Applied Economics welcomes original papers from academicians, researchers and practitioners alike, and particularly encourages submissions that draw on policy-oriented theoretical and empirical research focusing on application of economic theory and analysis, practical issues in fields of labour economics, industrial organization, development economics, health economics, monetary economics, public economics, economic history, and business economics.

The papers should generally be 6000-8000 words with abstract of not more than 200 words, though more substantial papers will be considered. The contributions to STRATI Journal of Applied Economics reflect the applied emphasis, which is fundamental to the journal. The papers will be double-blind refereed using an appropriate cross-section of reviewers drawn from the target interests. The journal aims for a turn-around time of three months from submission to publication to ensure rapid dissemination and dynamic discussion of ideas and results. The Editor, therefore, welcomes early contact prior to submission of manuscripts with, for example, an abstract. Book reviews are also included.

STRATI Journal of Applied Economics will be of interest to academicians, researchers and practitioners working in applied economics, policy and decision makers in national and local government and relevant agencies, and non-governmental organisations. The Editorial Board provides a unique mix of expertise from both the academic community and a full range of interested parties.

The STRATI Journal of Applied Economics is a peer reviewed, international journal covering policy and decision-making relating to applied economics in the broadest sense. Uniquely, its specific aim is to strengthen applied economics research focusing on planning, designing, and evaluation and enhancing the competence in economic policy analysis. The focus of the STRATI Journal of Applied Economics is on applied economic, economic policy analysis, and modeling. STRATI Journal of Applied Economics welcomes the research papers in the areas of economic analysis, national and global markets and policy, health care, fiscal policy, foreign aid, environment and resource economics, defense economics, economics and law, financial economics, and economic modeling. The journal aims to provide a forum for imaginative and creative thinking around the theoretical and empirical foundations of applied economics research.

The areas covered and their inter-relationships in informing decision-making and policy, therefore include economics of industry and public policy, public economics, economics of health care, environmental and resource economics, economics of the labour market, law and economics, and political economy, macro-econometrics, financial econometrics, and macroeconomic forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, quantitative analysis, general equilibrium modeling, quantitative methods, econometrics, empirical methods, and survey research methods.

The contribution to the STRATI Journal of Applied Economics broadly focuses on business economics, monetary economics, macroeconomics, international trade, international finance, public economics, financial economics, economic growth, international economics and development, analytical and quantitative perspective on global matters, international finance, international trade, development micro-economics, and economic growth, environmental and resource economics, environmental planning and management, and economics of health care.

The contribution to the STRATI Journal of Applied Economics should broadly focus on following themes (but are not restricted to):
