Dr. Dalbir Singh

Dr. Dalbir Singh is an economist with over three decades of experience in research, action research, and consultancy. He holds a Master’s and Ph.D. in Economics from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, and has successfully completed assignments supported by the Government of India, State Governments, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, KfW Germany, and the International Water Management Institute (IWMI). His expertise spans natural resource management, irrigation, agricultural development, environment, livelihoods, and rural development. He has extensive experience in monitoring and evaluation of development projects, skill gap assessments, and livelihood studies, alongside conducting capacity-building programs in policy analysis and sustainability. Dr. Singh has led or contributed to about 40 major studies and published over 55 papers in reputed journals, edited volumes, and conferences. His research has informed macro-level public policy, bridging grassroots realities with development planning and governance frameworks.
