Journal Submission Guidelines

The STRATI Journal of Gender Studies and Equality is a peer-reviewed, international, and open-access journal dedicated to advancing interdisciplinary research and dialogue on gender, sexuality, and equality in contemporary societies. The journal seeks to bridge critical theory with policy practice and welcomes contributions from scholars, activists, and practitioners committed to dismantling structural inequalities and promoting inclusive development.

The journal invites original research articles, policy analyses, theoretical explorations, case studies, and feminist critiques that explore gendered dynamics in diverse socio-economic, political, cultural, and legal contexts. It particularly encourages submissions that amplify the voices and experiences of women, LGBTQIA+ communities, and other marginalized genders across the Global South and North.

Submissions should generally range from 6,000 to 8,000 words and include an abstract not exceeding 200 words. All manuscripts are double-blind peer-reviewed and must be accompanied by a plagiarism report. The journal adheres to inclusive publication ethics and encourages co-authorship with activists, community leaders, and gender-rights organizations.

The STRATI Journal of Gender Studies and Equality aims to foster critical scholarship and policy-relevant research that address the multifaceted dimensions of gender inequality and the pursuit of social justice. It seeks to interrogate dominant power structures and promote alternative, intersectional understandings of identity, labor, care, body politics, and rights.

The journal supports contributions that interrogate how gender intersects with class, caste, race, ethnicity, disability, religion, indigeneity, and sexuality to shape access to resources, opportunities, and power. It engages with feminist, queer, trans, postcolonial, and decolonial theoretical frameworks, while foregrounding the lived experiences of individuals affected by discrimination and exclusion.
