Journal Submission Guidelines

The STRATI Journal of Development Policy and Practice is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal that offers a dynamic platform for scholars, researchers, and practitioners to engage in evidence-based policy discourse centered on development issues. The journal welcomes high-quality, original research articles, policy commentaries, book reviews, and field reports that critically examine development theory, practice, and policy interventions from multidisciplinary perspectives. It particularly emphasizes work that contributes to informed public policy, inclusive development, innovation, and participatory governance at local, national, regional, and global levels.

The journal is committed to fostering a deeper understanding of the drivers, processes, and outcomes of development strategies, governance mechanisms, institutional reforms, and development financing. Contributions that bridge the gap between research and policy, apply empirical and theoretical tools to real-world development issues, and offer innovative policy solutions are especially encouraged.

Submissions should generally range between 6,000 to 8,000 words, with an abstract of no more than 200 words. The journal upholds a zero-plagiarism policy and requires the submission of a plagiarism report at the time of manuscript submission. All manuscripts are subjected to a rigorous double-blind peer review. The journal strives for a review turnaround time of two months to ensure timely dissemination of research findings and policy ideas.

The STRATI Journal of Development Policy and Practice aims to serve a wide audience, including academic researchers, development professionals, policymakers, NGOs, think tanks, and international organizations interested in the design, implementation, and evaluation of development interventions.

The STRATI Journal of Development Policy and Practice is an interdisciplinary platform for theoretical exploration and applied research focused on development pathways, policies, and practices that promote equity, sustainability, and resilience. It aims to foster robust academic dialogue and practical policy insights across a wide array of development domains, including but not limited to economic policy, social development, governance reforms, digital inclusion, financial inclusion, human capital development, and sustainable livelihoods.

The journal seeks to advance scholarly work and field-level research that addresses critical development challenges—poverty, inequality, unemployment, climate vulnerability, education and health gaps, social protection, gender disparities, and institutional weakness—through the lens of both macro and micro policy solutions.

In doing so, the journal encourages the integration of perspectives from economics, public policy, sociology, political science, development studies, technology studies, environmental science, and law to build comprehensive and actionable knowledge for development practitioners and decision-makers.
